Hello
I'm Emma, one of the founders of Footsteps and Food. I have always had a love of food and the joy it brings to people. At 16 years old I worked in Chester in the Michelin starred Grosvenor Hotel prior to training as a chef in both Manchester and Liverpool. I have been involved in the food industry for many years in a number of roles including working behind the scenes for some of the countries top chefs to creating recipes for a number of professionals across different industries. I am also heavily involved in food education as part of the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts

My Story
As someone who struggled with dyslexia at school I knew I was “different” and I didn’t really fit into any of the, what was then seen as Normal, boxes. I seemed brilliant at some things but wasn’t able to focus on others.

I struggled with mental health and battling anxiety to discover who I truly am and where I fit into the world. I was longing to find the joy in things but I could never understand why I felt different.

I always had my food related work which I enjoyed and It was something I knew I excelled at.

However, having recently been diagnosed with ADHD I am starting to understand the reasons behind my years or torment. I am starting to regain confidence and to rediscover things I was too afraid to do for many years.

Part of my role at Footsteps and food is to help others discover the love of food everything culinary.
